Every year, hundreds of Somerset County youth bring their animals to the fairgrounds to compete, learn and represent their farm families. Thank you to everyone who showed, clipped, hauled, judged and bid this August.
How the 2026 Shows Ran
Kept here as a guide to how the week is usually laid out. The 127th Annual show schedule is set each spring and department days can move.
Dairy Cattle
Junior and open class dairy judging in the New Show Barn. Holsteins, Jerseys, Guernseys and Brown Swiss.
Beef Cattle
Beef breeding judging Monday; market steers Tuesday in the New Show Barn.
Swine
Junior market hog show and showmanship classes in the New Show Barn.
Sheep & Goats
Market goat Sat 5 PM, dairy goat show Sun 9 AM, market lamb Mon 2 PM, breeding sheep Thu 9 AM and breeding meat goats Thu 9:30 AM.
Poultry & Rabbits
Turkey & meat chicken judging Sunday at 10 AM followed by poultry. Rabbit judging Monday morning.

Annual Jr. Livestock Sale in the New Show Barn. Your bid supports local 4-H youth.
Showing in August 2027?
Entries for the 126th Annual Fair closed August 1 and the shows have run. Exact dates announced soon. Entry forms for the 127th Annual Fair are posted each spring, with entries due by August 1. Talk to your 4-H leader in the meantime, or get in touch and we will make sure you hear when the new forms are up.
